Saxon Funk is a Winnipeg-based real estate investor. After graduating from high school, Saxon tried door-to-door selling and selling insurance. He discovered day trading and foreign exchange trading in his early 20s but despite some success, learned that the activity was just as apt to leave him broke. Ultimately, real estate became his preferred road to financial freedom and helped enable him to pursue his other passions.
In my interview with Saxon, we discuss metrics to determine if a property is a good investment, fostering a good landlord-tenant relationship and managing rental properties when you’re away.
